KCWC - Wednesday
I really like button flies, but for quite a long time didn't dare to include them in a pattern or sew them. They are a bit scary, but this summer I studied them and tried different versions. They are not so difficult after all.
These Linen trousers have no buttons, but maybe you'd call it a fake button fly?
Tomorrow, I hope I can show you some trousers with a proper button fly.
By the way, she is not posing, she is performing in a circus - inspired by a circus we went to during the summer - a circus by kids for kids. She was very impressed.

I love the faux fly and elastic waistband. And am very curious to see the button fly.....
I love them! So comfy and stylish. That circus sounds amazing.
awesome! I love these!!!
they look very comfy! so cute :D
what a neat idea!!!! my daughter can't stand regular waistbands w/ zipers+buttons, it bothers her and now that it's getting cooler and she's in school, i'm finding it hard to find other options for her (thicker fabric w/ elastic band doesn't fit well I think), until I saw these pants: I'll just make her cords/jeans pants with jersey waistbands and voilà! thanks so much for the inspiration!!!!! (ps:came here form the kcwc flicker pool)
OHHHHH TRULa ...I am a fan....we love you! Rachel
