'Time is relative and a lot more relative the further away you get from the city' (read this here yesterday). So nice to go with the flow.

Savouring I
We rarely get out of the city, but last weekend we did. And at the end of a very busy Monday my mind keeps wandering back.

Summer pants
I made the pattern for these pants 2 years ago and still love it - now two sizes bigger.
Thank you for all your encouraging comments - without them my kids wouldn't have half as many handmade clothes.

Three and a half
It takes forever to turn 4, so we celebrated 'Three and a half'. With cake and candles and a pink crown (very important), ice cream and some new clothes.
I've been been working on this raglan sleeve pattern for quite a while now and finished it just time. The skirt is an experiment - no pattern, just two pieces sewn together. What does matter is that it 'flies' when you turn around very quickly on one foot.

Sleeping bag for babies
The phrase 'If trying harder doesn't work, try different' has been on my mind a lot lately. A full schedule and the wish to make things myself instead of buying them don't always go along well. When do you find the time?
Well, for this sleeping bag I didn't make a pattern, I just drew the shape I wanted onto the fabric itself... and figured out how to put it together along the way (which of course included some undoing of nicely sewn seams, re-tracing, re-cutting and re-thinking).
