Not so long ago in a kingdom far away up north there were two beautiful little princesses with beautiful pink dresses going to see 'The princess and the pea'.

Princesses and pink are not really my thing, but its hers, so it is great fun to make it mine, too.

First camera

She's been using my camera for a while now so it was about time she got her own. I looked at every camera available for kids but just wasn't convinced. They are fairly safe in case they get dropped, but the quality of the actual photo is not great.

So in the end we bought a simple 'grown up' camera and I made a bag that makes it difficult to drop it (or that I hope). The idea is that she puts the bag round her neck and then takes the photos.

So far, it's working.

More pink

I think Meg described it well when she said she didn't know whether she loved or hated this fabric. I loved it, when I saw it at the market but then didn't quite know what to do with it. Until I was asked for another dress. More pink, of course. And it goes so well with her new pink sunglasses.
