A prince

You know the princess wasn't an immediate success, but she grew on her. She hasn't mentioned Barbies for months. Instead, she's been asking for a prince. Whenever she was asked what she wanted for her birthday, for Christmas, Reyes... - 'A prince!' What else.

So I gave it a try. He was looking rather feminine - so he had to have a mustache.
And while I was making miniature clothes, the princess got a new dress, too.

In 3 days he'll make his big entrance. So we'll see whether he'll get a warm welcome... (or not).

I was just earlier tonight searching your site for the original princess post. I'm making a doll for my 3 year old this christmas and I'd remembered your post and how she didn't take to the handmade doll at first. I was hoping to find an update and then look what shows up in my blog reader!
Kizmet I say! I'm glad to hear she warmed up to the doll and the couple looks very happy together. Thanks for the inspiration!

I just had a browse through your blog and I must say... We live very similar lives in different countries! 2 kids (of wich one is a princess ;-), sewing, printing, taking pictures,... :-)
You make such nice clothes!

Thanks for admiring mine little bodies, I like yours a lot! I also never know how to make the guys look more masculine. And, finally, I have the same experience with my kid that he is indifferent to my handmade puppets at first but then he finds what he likes about them. One has to push them slowly and unnoticed.

Perfect. I am finally sitting down to make a couple dolls for my little ones. I'm planning one for my 3 year old boy, I wonder how difficult it will be for him to learn to love it..... Inspiring work as always :)

What a lovely pair! Please tell us what your daughter thought of the prince, she must have been thrilled :)

@Tuia. I am sorry for the late comment. She does like him very much. They sit side by side in her bed and one cannot travel anywhere without the other.
