Preparing for KCWC

I am really looking forward to next week's KCWC and  preparing for it. Trying out new patterns, taking measurements and listening to their ideas: "Mama, I need a bridal veil".

The older they get the more they participate. At the moment, they are fascinated by the tape measure, measuring everything that comes their way.  Did you know that a Haribo Gummibärchen measures 2.2 cm?

What's on your list of things to sew?
I doubt you'll be short of ideas, but just in case... some past KCWC creations.

My kids love the tape measure too and get excited when I measure one of them :-) I'm looking forward to KCWC too, hard to believe it will be my third! Looking forward to also seeing what you make for your girls.

Gracias Yolanda y Linibau. Quizas al final sale algo chulo, pero con las nuevas creaciones siempre paso por horas pensando que no va a salir nada bonito, o no como yo lo había imaginado.

@Sarah. Thank you. I hope I won't mess up :)

@Jo. Looking forward to seeing what you'll make. And isn't measuring them quite fun?

In my list for KCWC are bloomers, sun hats, skirt and a train dress (she has been asking for it).

I found your blog while ago and really like your style. Thanks!

Ha, coming from Bonn where the Haribo factory stands I remember measuring all sorts of gummi candy, although I forgot the proportions of that one, thanks! My kcwc list is coming slowly together as well, the patterns are cut (and the remainders of the cracking pattern paper was gladly received by a watching baby). Looking forward to seeing your kcwc harvest!

@Sky Turtle. Thank you.

@Sophie. It's funny how they take part int eh whole process. I can imagine the great sound the paper makes.

@Erika. Wow, that's quick. I know what you mean, I would love to sew a lot more, too.
