Striped dress

I have no idea why, but it seems that after nights of sewing, when I am really tired I go for the stripy fabric (remember last KCWC?).

This dress was high risk - no pattern and about 2 meters of fabric that I really, really like. The kind of fabric that  I don't dare to use because I don't want to ruin it. But I guess when I am really tired I need something truly inspiring. Things made under similar circumstances have gone terribly wrong, but somehow this has turned out well. A little big maybe. But it won't be when summer arrives.

And while thanks to KCWC her summer wardrobe is slowly taking shape, the little one has inherited many old favourites. This one for example she has now worn 76 hours straight. Not sure if or how I'll get it into the washing machine.

I agree - it's just stunning! I'd be really intimidated to cut into precious fabric with no pattern, but this turned out so beautifully, you're making me think I should be bolder!

Sorry I've been so bad about replying to comments. Thank you very much for all your nice comments. I still have a tiny piece of this fabric left which I would like to turn into top for myself. Hope it'll work out as well as this dress.
