DIY Play Store

It's quite common in Barcelona to find the entire contents of a flat that has to be cleaned out dumped onto the street. For me, impossible to just walk past. I am not sure what this piece of furniture is called. I think it was part of an old kitchen. I could tell that it was handmade yet awfully neglected and full of old bottles of schnapps.

Well, with a little bit of work (and help from my favourite little helper) it has turned into a play store to accompany the play kitchen that continues to be used on a daily basis. Now we have to go shopping a lot and it's my new favourite thing.

In the real world, they once reminded me: 'Mama, don't forget to buy money'.
In their store I often get given money at the check out so that I can pay the 87 Euros for 2 orange skittles. And it really doesn't matter what I came in to buy, I cannot leave without taking flour, sugar, eggs and milk with me, because this is what you need to make a cake. Hint, hint.

cute on so many levels. i want my own play store--maybe i will let me daughter play with it.
i wish grocery stores looked like that. aprons are adorable on the girls--i assume you made them.

i'm just waiting for money to go on sale before i buy some for myself.
have a great week!

Nosotros también hemos reciclado muebles de la calle en cocinita-tiendecita, los muebles viejos son tesoros al alcance de cualquier mamá imaginativa :)
