Cava Cork Stamps

She has started to apply quite a lot of rules to her drawings and paintings - this is not how you draw a flower, or you can't paint outside of the line etc. I am not sure where it comes from (school probably) but I am trying hard to work against it.

This is my latest attempt. Cava corks seem to have the perfect size for little hands. Together with some cut out foam they make excellent stamps.
So now I've got numerous, large pieces of stamped paper lying on our bedroom floor that I just can't part with. Where am I going to put them all?

Sunday Mondays

It feels like everyone but us is on holiday. But spending an afternoon on a rooftop next to the Mercat Santa Catarina is almost like being on holiday. What a treat to see the roof  from above (thank you Brick Lane Bcn.)

Trouser trial

Kids are so beautifully at ease with their bodies. All I have to worry about is whether they like the style or colour. Well, when making things for myself I am adding more doubts into the mix of the general pattern/ fit/ idea - angst.

I've been meaning to try to make my own trouser pattern for ages (like many, I hate buying them) This is my first prototype. Still quite simple as I didn't want to spend a lot of time on details only to realize that the pattern needs changing. Well, of course it does need a little changing. And mostly things I don't know how to change yet. But on a good day, I quite like the challenge of figuring it out.
