Who would have thought that she might ever want to dress as something other than a princess at some point in her life. I still can't quite believe it.
But she was very clear. A clown - with a striped shirt, a bow tie, a red nose and a wig of red curls.
I tried to make a sort of girly version of a striped shirt and one that she can wear even when she's not a clown. I just have to make a little sewing time go a long, long way.
The bow tie makes me smile. It's a made of one of the last scraps of one of my favourite fabrics, (previously used here and here and here). So next time I get mad at all the fabric stacked into our tiny flat I'll look at it.

she's getting older!
she looks lovely.
It is a stylish clown and pretty everyday-shirt/tunique. I love it!
Thank you for your comment in my blog. That´s the way I found your lovely blog. Enjoy the new week!
the most stylish clown in the universe!
Love the shirt. Great that she can wear it again.
Simple costumes are the best!...and so are striped shirts :-)!
@ Laura. I think I have to try to make one of these pouches soon.
@ Kristi. I think the pattern alternations I used on the shirt are very similar to the ones you used on the lovely nightgown you made.
Love it all!
